Ed Snider, Flyers Owner who ‘Created Hockey in Philadelphia,’ Dies at 83
In 1967, Mr. Snider and his partners introduced hockey to Philadelphia. Soon the Flyers turned the City of Brotherly Love into a town that loved bare-knuckle fights on the ice.
