With Eye to Home Fans and Youths, Tokyo Suggests Adding Five Olympic Sports in 2020
Organizers made sure to include baseball and karate because they are important to Japan, in addition to surfing, skateboarding and sports climbing, which meet the International Olympic Committee’s call that additional sports have a strong youth appeal.
